Jazz is alive at the Navy Yard

Last Friday, 10 Storehouse Row hosted a screening of the local, independent film “Song of Pumpkin Brown.” The Navy Yard at Noisette Community Association, Osprey HD, South Carolina Film Commission, Charleston Jazz Initiative, GreenWorks Media Productions and Bell Digital Media co-sponsored the event, which featured a Q&A with the film’s cast and crew and a jazz reception. We had close to 200 folks come out to see the film and mingle with each other, and the “Building Arts and Design Center” of the Navy Yard really shined as combination theater and jazz lounge.
