The SCBIZ Staff reported today that South Carolina has formed a committee to determine how South Carolina can better develop and expand its recycling market, currently a $6.5 billion economy in our state. Growing this market, the article points out, will help the state’s energy initiatives, reduce South Carolina’s waste stream, and create more jobs. Kudos to The Navy Yard’s Chris Fisher, Fisher Recycling, and others who serve on the Recycling Market Development Advisory Council for focusing on this issue.
