Also, we heard yesterday that the South Carolina Maritime Association has added a category to its annual awards, which recognizes companies and people that have served well the ports of Charleston. The fun-to-say Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics was the recipient of the Maritime Association’s first environmental stewardship award for “establishing programs that make Charleston and the world a cleaner place to live and work. The company has developed and is building an emissions-free vessel.” The Business Journal also reported this story, and we learned more at Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s website.
