The American College of the Building Arts with shops and classrooms in 10 Storehouse Row is the only one of its kind in America. John Paul Huguley was inspired to create a School of the Building Arts 10 years ago by master ironworker, Philip Simmons. Simmons is passionate about his craft and the need to pass it on to younger generations. It wasn’t easy but it has been done. Last Saturday, the American College of the Building Arts awarded seven students bachelor’s degrees in applied science, and one associate degree. Congratulations, Class One, John Huguley and all those who built it.
