News from Hurricane Geoffrey…

Anna Bell’s is Here!

Anna Bell’s restaurant inside 10 Storehouse Row is now open!  Tomorrow, Friday Sept the 3rd is the official opening run.  They will be open at 11:30 am for lunch.  If you can’t stop by tomorrow, next week starting Tuesday, they will be open for breakfast and lunch.  I had a chance to sample some items yesterday and am every excited about this and I know many of you “Yarders”are as well.  Welcome Anna Bell’s!

PeopleMatter Launch

If you’ve visited the Noisette Company office in the last year, you already know about PeopleMatter.  The Noisette office has the honor and privilege of sharing common space on the 2nd floor of Historic 7 Storehouse Row with PeopleMatter and we’ve been loving every minute of it.  Founded in September 2009, PeopleMatter’s success comes from developing an innovative strategic human resource software platform to help the service industry manage the process of sourcing, hiring, training, scheduling and retaining their most valuable asset: their people.  They’ve been growing and continue to revolutionize their industry and the status quo.  On September 14, their product launch and unveiling of PeopleMatter Hire will be an event you don’t want to miss.  You can attend online or in person at the Sottile Theatre in downtown Charleston.  You can find all of the event details and reserve your seat online at www.peoplematter.com/smashing-status-quo

West Yard Lofts Update

West Yard Lofts continues to progress.  The exterior facades are getting closer to completion as the interior work begins on the ground floor and works its way up.  Check out the pics!

Lowcountry Orphan Relief

From Lowcountry Orphan Relief:

Our annual Make a Child Happy Day Carnival, for children in foster care and group homes, is set for October 16 here at our Valerie Vincent Clothing Closet at the Navy Yard at Noisette in North Charleston.  We will have apple bobbing, jump castles, hayrides, pony rides and much, much more!! Volunteers will start setting up at 9am and the kids arrive at noon.  They are fed lunch and then can attend the carnival until 3PM.  Volunteers are asked to stay until at least 4PM to clean up.  During the carnival, we hope to have each child, attended by a volunteer, to go through our closet and pick some items for them to take with them.

If this sounds to you like a fun day with very cute children, then we need you!!  If you would like to work, please contact MaryCourtney Brooks at mcbrooks@lowcountryorphanrelief.org

Everyone have a great Labor Day Weekend!
